Hi!
I'm Jeane.
I live in Texas and I rescue Street Dogs.
I am a "boots on the ground" rescuer but my specialty is rehabilitating street dogs and making sure
they're ready for their role in a family unit.
I document my rescues and mission on TikTok and Instagram.
My goal is to provide an environment that resembles a bed and breakfast for humans but for dogs. I have found that a street dog is a happier dog in a home setting rather than a "dog pound" setting.
It is an unfortunate truth that there is an issue with street dogs in my community. I aim at rescuing these angels off the streets and working hard to provide them with a chance to live better and the best chapters of their lives.
OUR MISSION
We provide the following:
- professional medical care: spay and neuter,
- a home environment and open space for play and relaxation,
- connect w/established rescues throughout the United States to take over the dog’s care and adoptions to qualified families.
We also cater to owner surrenders, and we assist families in keeping their family pets in the family unit.

OUR METHOD
Once we rescue a street dog, we help them transition from street life to home life. Each dog receives veterinary care and is placed in a quiet, home-like environment where they can decompress. Soft lighting, calming sounds, nutritious food, comfortable bedding, and patience allow the dog to rest, heal, and feel safe.
This decompression period can last anywhere from a few days to several months, depending on the dog's needs. Once they are ready, we slowly introduce them to other dogs and people. This approach has proven to be one of the most successful ways to help street dogs heal from trauma and prepare for adoption.
PROGRAMS:
The rescued dog is evaluated and then starts the process of being placed in either the Ready, Set, Go or the Ready, Set, Stay programs.
Ready, Set, Stay: dog has been deemed non-adoptable and will become a “Lifer” with Just A Girl Saving Dogs. Factors that contribute to this decision are due to medical or behavioral issues. Dog will stay at the headquarters for the rest of his/her life.
Ready, Set, Go: dog will start the process to be released to an established rescue located either in Texas or in another state. The dog will be transported to the rescue and will go to a foster or adopted out to a qualified family. So far, our dogs have been adopted by wonderful families from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Washington, Iowa, Minnesota and Texas.
